Positive Behavior Supports for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Differences for Paraeducators, Parents, and Others
(a one day workshop)...................................................................................
Functional analyses of behavior are required by law in public school for any student on an IEP who has challenging behaviors.  Participants will identify specific antecedents that are often unique to autism, why these occur, how to prevent them when possible, and how otherwise to support students who have both autism and challenging behaviors.

Fall-Winter 2011-2012 COURSE
Autism Fall-Winter Institute: Proven Practical Strategies for Educating Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders in General Education Classrooms from Pre-K through High School
(a 45-hour graduate level program repeating the same materials that was covered in our intensive summer institute..................)
This live and in-person course (if you prefer classroom-style learning with colleagues) is also the first requirement of a certificate in Autism being offered by the A.J. Pappanikou University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WILL BE FORTHCOMINGNO LATER THAN THE END OF OCTEMBER. CEUs are provided. The current plan is to have ten 3-hour sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings plus two 7.5 hour Saturdays at the end of the course. Please contact [email protected] if interested in enrolling.
